Pantone’s 2026 Color of the Year is Cloud Dancer, a “lofty white” they’re calling a symbol of calming influence and quiet reflection — and it’s the first time Pantone has ever picked a shade of white . For someone who lives in swirls, cells, and saturated pigment, a creamy off-white is almost a dare. Show your readers what happens when you pour Cloud Dancer: a near-white pendant with the barest hint of pearl or shimmer, a fluid acrylic experiment built on cream-on-cream contrast, or your honest take on whether you’d actually put a “calm white” piece on your market table this summer.

I do actually have a couple of pieces that might qualify as “lofty white”, but they are in the “mistakes” pile 🙂

I’m all about bright colors, so I don’t think I’ll be adding any Cloud Dancer pieces to Flippin’ Flamingo anytime soon. Sorry Pantone.
